What To Expect On Sunday Morning
We're so glad you are considering worshiping with St. John's Church. St. John's is a warm, welcoming community of faith, committed to sharing the love of God with anyone and everyone we meet. This broad welcome permeates our Sunday morning worship service as well. We hope you'll spend a Sunday with us sometime soon.
What Will Happen When I Visit The First Time?
We promise, you will not be singled out, asked to stand and share your most embarrassing moment, or anything like that. We're a small enough congregation that some folks will probably know that you are new, and will greet you and welcome you to St. John's. We also pass a friendship pad down each row for visitors and members to leave their contact info, and so that folks can learn the names of those around them in the service. And finally, you'll be invited to our coffee hour, which follows the service and gives people a better chance to socialize and get to know one another.
What Should I Wear?
Everyone should feel welcome to come as you are to any and all of our gatherings. On Sunday morning there are people in ties and others in t-shirts. Come as you feel comfortable.
Sunday Morning Schedule:
Adult Education begins at 8:30 in the Social Hall. Worship begins at 10am in the Sanctuary, and is followed by a Fellowship Hour in the Social Hall.
What About My Kids?
Children of all ages are welcome in worship. There is a children's sermon a little less than half way through the service, and children are invited to attend Sunday School following that time, but may stay with the family if that is your preference. We also have an open area in the sanctuary designated for families with infants and toddlers.
