Pastor Dan Wysong

Pastor Dan Wysong is passionate about living a life of joy, depth, courage, wisdom, and maybe a little adventure. Along with spending time with his wife Heather and children Abigaile, Grant, Ryan, and Gianna, some of his favorite things include reading good books, writing, doing triathlons, scuba-diving, snow-boarding, mountain climbing, exploring the wilderness, and traveling with Heather.  

Pastor Dan graduated from Union College with a Business Finance degree in 2001. After spending some time praying about several corporate job offers, he felt called to accept a position as a youth pastor in Kirkland, Washington instead.
 
After completing a Masters of Divinity from Andrews University, he has pastored churches in Washington, Nebraska, Sacramento, and Chico.  His favorite parts of the job include digging into the text, crafting inspiring sermons, and walking alongside people through life’s mountaintops and valleys. He is greatly looking forward to getting to know each one of you!​

Rev. Bill Schroeder

Pastor Bill Schroeder served St. John's Church from 1985 - 2000, and is now retired with his wife Shirley, here in Woodland. He has continued to be a cherished spiritual mentor and leader to this congregation even throughout his retirement, particularly in seasons of leadership transition.

Pastor Bill was celebrated by the church last fall for his 60 years in United Church of Christ ministry. He and Shirley also were celebrated for their 60 years of marriage and the ministry they have shared. 

For his dedication, calling, and ministry, we are deeply grateful to God.
